Our Care
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide both residential and nursing care. We are an independent home and pride ourselves on the genuine compassion and commitment of our team – heart goes into everything we do. Our home has undergone significant renovations and investment since 2021 including premises, facilities, our staff team, training, and governance.
We have a strong focus on quality and safety. We feel we have achieved a perfect balance of a family, homely feel coupled with high quality clinical standards.
We offer a bespoke environment fitted with many dementia friendly initiatives, from dementia friendly signage, colour coded fixtures and dementia friendly activity boards. Our whole environment is designed to best support our residents. All our rooms can be personalised to create a comfortable and familiar environment.

We are lucky enough to have highly experienced nurses working at Thornton Manor.
Years of experience and training enable us to provide care for a wide range of acute, long term and palliative health conditions. Our nurses are highly skilled in managing all complexities and work closely with multi-disciplinary teams as needed. Our residents will receive bespoke, person centred care plans written by our nursing staff to meet all their needs and preferences.
